It snowed here the other day. It rarely snows in the GTA, that's the greater Toronto area for all of you not from here but living someplace else.
Toronto is interesting. It's a big city with a few million. It's not New York or London but we like it. Toronto tries very hard to be caring and sensitive even while the city attempts to destroy you. This area is the most multi-cultural place in the world. We all play a game called 'Where are you from?' You need a globe sometimes to keep up.
The area where I work is well known for having a huge east asian population. Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan. Also a big arab population. Billboards are in lots of languages.
Today there is snow. What happens when you mix people from this part of the world and snow? Absolute panic. Dear in the headlights panic. Shame and welcome to Canada eh?
